Malá Úpa is one of the highest situated mountain villages in the Czech Republic. It extends its borders almost to the peak of Sněžka. The village was established in the 16th century and until present preserves many of the natural and cultural values from the past. Historic town centre with St. Petr and Pavel church dominant is a unique place surrounded by nature with panoramic views toward mountains and offering inexhaustible quantity of tourist trips, walks and entertainment in the neighbourhood. Fairy-tale foot trail will guide you through undiscovered places of Mala Upa during Spring, Summer and Autumn. During the winter the two ski resorts U Kostela and Na Pomezkach are open for skiers of all type or those who enjoy ride on the cross-country ski the resort offers fast track and well maintained cross country ski trail.
Skiing is available in two nearby ski resorts in Malá Úpa. Down hill ski trails in the resort U Kostela are located on the south-western downhill Pomeznà Hřeben, with amazing views toward highest mountain of Czech Republic – Sněžka. Skiers can use one of four ski-tows ranging from 300m to 1000m length. For small children skiers resort offers chain ski-tow.
Second Ski Resort, Pomezky, located in the centre of Malá Úpa, was opened from 12 December 2009. Resort offers skiing in one of the highest situated ski slopes in the Czech Republic.
